I am super proud of this one. I was really feeling it and was excited. I am sad the music cut out, I was planning on running up to the pole and jumping on it. I did a couple things I have never done before like move my legs around in the Allegra and the trick at 1 min. Very exciting.
I tried something new and I was not feeling inspired and I think you can tell. Its still good to try new things out.
Oh I forgot two videos.
Yesterday, at the skill share we talked a lot about floor work. This is the free style I did at the end of class, I tried to do all the moves we talked about. Some of them didn’t work out the best and I definitely lost my grove at the end of it, but that’s ok though just means I need more practice. I really like the move I did at 2:25 and I am happy I remembered to do this little flippy trick at 2:55. I need to get into that smother but I learned that forever ago and totally forgot about it.
Not as pleased with this one.
This week’s freestyle turned out pretty well actually! I felt in a slightly more seductive mood and the music fit my mood well. It’s amazing how your personality and mood not influences your music choice, but your body also responds to it as well.
Also, I always appreciate feedback. I very much want participate in the competition circuit at some point and need all the advice I can get.
A couple weeks ago, Erin thought it would be a good idea to start video taping our freestyle one minute routines since we sometimes come up with some pretty awesome combinations. I am more into rock music or bouncy hi hop kind of music, but I had a change of pace this past week and tried Justin Timberlake’s Future Sex Love Songs. I wanted to do something more sexy and slow. The routine is a bit more awkward then I like. I think it has more to do with my music choice. I just wasn’t “feeling” the music. But it turn out ok.
